Forge Basse offers the perfect retreat between the months of October and April.

We welcome couples and small parties to the Cottage, wanting to get away for a long weekend or a short break.

As we are resident on site, we are well positioned to prepare your accommodation for you, making sure the Cottage is warm and cosy for your arrival.

Our rate for these short breaks in the Cottage, which sleeps up to 6 people, is £60 per night (minimum 2 nights).

We can also provide some basic groceries to save you that initial trip to the supermarket.

For example: a shopping basket of £20 will include:

1 Baguette, 4 Croissants, 1 litre Milk, President Spreadable Butter, Apricot Jam, Tropicana Orange Juice, Ground Coffee, Teabags, and a bottle of Red Wine.

Forge Basse is 50 minutes from Limoges airport with daily flights from Stansted, Bristol and Southampton. There are excellent restaurants nearby, open all the year round, as well as markets and chateaux to visit.

2nd October - Cèpe Fair at St.Saud

31st October 2010, 30th October 2011 - Chestnut Fair, Dournazac

11th November 2010 - Turkey Fair, Varaignes

14th February 2011- Valentine's Day
